Anxiety is a normal human emotion, we all have it and we will all always have it. But sometimes anxiety takes over our lives. It begins to make us see only the risks in any give situation, to fixate on details that it tells us will give us control. When anxiety becomes a driver in our lives we often strive for perfection, struggle to say no or prioritize what we actually need.
For many of us this can lead down a path of over functioning, being caught up in busyness and productive and losing a sense of self worth if we aren’t always “doing”. This inevitable leads to forsaking other parts of us contributing to burnout and exhaustion.
Losing our identity to work or over functioning comes at a cost.
We will support you in finding balance and a sense of self, while not sacrificing the areas of your life that anxiety has helped you to develop.

Unburdening your Self
Depression is heavy, we feel it in our whole being, its weight, and ache and longing to be different, to feel different. It steals our hope and our job and takes away pleasures that we have known our whole life.
Understanding how our depression functions, and what it costs us, helps us have some say in how it shows up in our world, and develop and maintain a sense of self that isn’t consumed by depression. We will also work with you to rebuild and rediscover that things that we have lost to depression. These things are often precious parts of our identity and lives.
We will work with you on unburdening your Self and finding a life and identity you want, and probably miss.

Everyone we see is unique, so your therapy sessions should be too. We often blend therapeutic approaches to suit your specific needs and address your specific anxiety and depression symptoms.
In-Person or Online
Attend therapy in the comfort of your home through secure virtual sessions or meet in person at our Cambridge office.
Understanding Anxiety
If you aren’t sure that what you are experiencing is anxiety or your not sure how your anxiety is showing up, we will work with you to develop a deep understanding of how anxiety functions in your life.
Understanding Depression
If you are not sure if what your experiencing is depression or something else we will work with you to understand your symptoms and experience.
We do not offer diagnosis or medication
We are happy to work with your health care profession to treat your anxiety and/or depression, but do not offer diagnosis or medication recommendations.
